Those are beautiful! They look like Celtic antiques. You are a genuine artist, I say it again.

There is so much in a circle. The beaten textures in yours are so beautiful.

Ga! I don't wear earings anymore! Where's the link to your discrete, boy stuff?

Beautiful, as always Gwen.

'round and 'round we go, where we will stop, no one knows. I love these Gwen. Black Rose wears hers often (I try to steal them - tee hee). Hope to see you soon my friend. Take care. (ps. thinking that teenage boy might have been being funny not realizing his 'art' would be on one of mom's pix).

Guillaume, oh to be as talented as the Celts, that would be a dream.

DD and Teri, Thanks to you both.. I love worn texture.

Kathi, it is fun to play.

Thank you Thinker, your quotes are always inspirational.

Ruth, I'm hoping others will leave their thoughts on what circles conjure up in their minds.

Stephen, and I used to wear rings on every finger ... but not now, the bread dough gets stuck in them.

Shel, oh there was a rule with the marks, everyone who sat in the chair was suppose to leave a mark.. some did.. most are old and some were too shy to carve into someone elses furniture.

Beautiful work, Gwen, and beautifully designed photographs. Metal against wood, circular against the straight lines in the wood — it show that you know what you are doing as an artist.

The meaning of the circle to me? Completeness, oneness, and karma.

Ahh... the circle of life, the medicine wheel. Circles are a hugh part of the Ojibwe culture.
These are warm and lovely Gwen:)

Your pieces are even more beautiful displayed on an old scratched wooden chair.

Hi Gwen,
I was lucky enough to be gifted with a pair of your lovely bass and treble clef earrings. As a musician, I have lots of treble clefs but thanks for keeping the poor neglected bass clef alive!

Best,
Amy

Gwen Buchanan said...

Oh You're welcome and Thanks Amy... We are thrilled to know you are wearing our work.. You are a perfect model!!!

Lovely work! … Very rustic and they are telling a story … just like the wooden back ground you chose … I cherish all your pieces, friend Gwen. Much love from this Alberta cat and her cat Theo.
